The Symbol DS3400 Series of rugged scanners brings high performance data capture to harsh industrial environments. Using digital imaging technology, this family of scanners quickly and accurately captures 1D and 2D bar codes, images and direct part marks, and is available in a number of models to meet diverse needs:
• DS3408-SF, for 1D/2D bar code scanning
• DS3407-SF, for 1D/2D bar code scanning as well as image capture and transfer
• DS3408-HD, for 1D/2D bar code scanning and optimized to capture very small, high density 2D bar codes
• DS3407-DP, for 1D/2D bar code scanning; image capture and transfer; direct part marks (DPM)
All units have the ability to read 1D and 2D bar codes, as well as high density 2D bar codes (DS3408-HD only) which increases productivity and lowers costs by handling all industry-standard bar codes.
The DS3407-DP captures a wide variety of DPM marks which enhances quality processes and improves lifetime product traceability.
Omni-directional scanning eliminates need to line up the bar code with the scan line, increasing speed.
Rugged design withstands multiple 6.5-ft (2-m) drops to concrete.
IP65-rated sealing protects against water and dust for reliable performance in harsh industrial conditions.
